3+1 simple mommy steps for a happier 2017

Hello, 2017! I’m so happy you’re finally here. 2016 was not that good to us and I met the -hopefully- darkest side of myself. Patience and mindfulness totally left me. I cried, yelled, survived. So I decided to change. No, I did not write a long list of New Year’s resolutions but I do have a few things in my mind to make this year better than 2016.

1. I won’t be more patient. It’s just impossible. But I will be more present. I will slow down. I try not to stress on everything. There’s no email or anything which cannot wait for a few minutes. Everything will be done step by step. I will take a deep breath. And it’s not impossible at all.

2. I won’t be that crafty DIY mommy. I just can’t. But I can deal with one creative program per day. I mean, it’s not that hard to have (at least) one hour of painting, drawing, baking with my kid and it’s quality time and it’s good for me too.

3. I will do one thing for myself every day. One thing. It’s maybe pathetic but more than nothing. Put on a facial mask, eat secret snacks, drink a glass of wine, read a book -phone in airplane mode-, wash my hair…something that makes me feel good.

+1
I will soak up the last months of our baby/toddlerwearing days. Or weeks. Hopefully months.
